October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and DeVry's Library is supporting the "Race for the Cure" through our Chamberlain College of Nursing and the Susan G. Komen Foundation http://ww5.komen.org/. Reading Circles are scheduled in the DeVry South Florida Library on Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13 from 5-6pm.
Reading Circles participants will be reading excerpts from Barbara Delinsky's book,
Uplift: Secrets from the Sisterhood of Breast Cancer Survivors (2011). Amazon.com states that--Uplift is an inspiring collection of inspirational snippets from more than 300 breast cancer survivors who share breast cancer tips and experiences. Reading this book is like listening to the friendly hubbub of a crowd of women all offering advice and comments. It's similar to joining a support group.
